Philips are well known to the in health and have a whole decision focused on sleep solutions both directed at the consumer as well as clinical solutions targeted towards patients suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) being treated with Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) systems
I took a look at the consumer product solutions that included the new Smart Sleep Headband (part of the Smart Sleep Range of solutions) that uses embedded sensors to detect your brian waves to determine your sleep pattern and then plays sounds into speakers in the headband designed to improve your quality of sleep. We also check out the Snoreband and the Smart Sleep Light (Somneo) – neither are available yet
I also take a look at the new clinical solutions for OSA with new innovations for CPAP masks and different types of connectors to make them more comfortable as well as the new portable CPAP device for those who have to travel with these devices
Sadly – in line with all the other companies providing clinical sleep solutions Philips does not allow patients full access to their data insisting on providing a processed version of that data
