Back to Work

Surviving and Thriving Incrementally in the new Post COVID19 world demands rethinking shift work, office ventilation, and common areas and food

Ventilation

Office Ventilation Systems

What do you need to be thinking about now for the future of back to work post COVID19? While it may be hard to imagine a time after the Pandemic and shelter in place with social distancing the world will return to previous activities albeit changed

Return to work will happen but likely in a slightly adjusted format that may require thinking about shift work for your employees to allow for physical distancing at work. This will be important especially early on as most office locations won’t have suitable ventilation set up to reduce the risk of infection as many re-circulate air without high-end filtration to remove virus particulates. Meantime open windows if you can and let in the fresh air. As for the common kitchen areas, these will need to be re-designed with contamination concerns and in the interim new single dispensed snacks and drinks will be required

Some incremental steps to consider

  • Move to shift work to reduce the number of employees in the office at any one time
  • Open windows where possible to allow fresh air vs re-circulated unfiltered air
  • Think about common areas and food distribution with pre-packed food and drinks
